If you are a landlord or are considering becoming one, your best bet would be to join your local apartment association.  There are many laws which govern landlording, and it would be in everyone's best interest, both landlord and tenant, for you to be armed with all the knowledge and resources available.

I am a member of the Waukehsa Area Apartment Association, and you are welcome to come to our monthly meetings to see if we are a group you'd like to join.
